So, the nominations will be announced tomorrow... I am pretty much bored to tears with this year's potentials, but tradition took over and forced me to make a list... so here goes...

I think they nominated Letters from Iwo Jima instead of Dreamgirls so they could give best director to Scorcese while saying, well, Clint was nominated for best picture!

I really hate Clint Eastwood.

Also, good call on the Actor category. But wow, Mark Wahlberg? I don't blame you for not getting that one.

Frankly, I thought Dreamgirls was an absolutely horrible film and am quite happy that it did not get the nominations in the picture and director categories. Though Jennifer Hudson is going to be a star - she is remarkable.

I also really hate Eastwood... with a mad, seething, driving passion. I haven't seen either of his movies from this year, so I can't really comment on their merits, except to say that I imagine they are the same crap he usually does.

I'm not shocked about Mark Wahlberg... he got a lot of praise for this role, and a Golden Globe Nomination. However, I thought his performance was just a string of profanity... scenery chewing to be sure, but not my idea of award caliber acting. I guess Brad Pitt will have to make due with another year of staring at his girlfriend's Oscar.
